As was discussed earlier at previous information meetings, the Local's professionals misinterpreted a recommendation from the Trustees back in 2006. As a result, all of our members were paying more than what we were supposed to pay for dental work. At our last meeting we were given preliminary numbers that led the Trustees to believe that the cost to pay back all the members would be around $450,000.00. This was approved but upon further review the number has been corrected to around $750,000.00. For that reason it had to go back to the Trustees for approval which was granted and I am happy to inform all members that they will receive this cheque soon.
