Advanced Rigging for Ironworkers

This course is tailored to the Journeyman Ironworker looking to improve their theory, skills and safety awareness in Advanced Rigging.  This course will consist of the following topics:

 

ü   Crane and Rigging Incidents

ü   Operator and Rigger Accountability

ü   Wire Rope and Hardware

ü   Basic Rigging Principles

ü    Safe Operation of Mobile Hydraulic, Conventional Crawler Cranes and Overhead Cranes

ü   Interpretation of Crane Load Charts

ü   Critical Lift Awareness

Time:              8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.  (Total 24 hours)

 

Location:        Crane and Rig Inc., Nisku

Pre-requisites:    Must have Alberta Ironworker Journeyman     Certificate or Interprovincial “Red Seal” Standard

                        and Member of Local 720 or Local 725             

Instructor:     Ron Schram, Schram Crane and Rigging Ltd.

Lunch Provided
