A message from Keith Stevenson - BM/FST
Hello Brothers and Sisters,
With the current influx of calls and the inability to fill them, we have a serious need to get these calls filled and help our signatory partners. Thinking that it may help the situation due to numbers on the book, the Local will consider all shutdown calls (determined by Dispatcher) taken between March 15 and April 15 to be short term calls and you will retain your spot on the list regardless if you have had a short term already. You will need to receive a layoff for it to apply. We will revisit the situation again the 2nd week of April to see if this approach continues to be necessary. Thank you.
Local 720 is currently recruiting new workers for upcoming Reinforcing Pre-apprentice classes. Check out the training calendar for upcoming dates and information on how to apply. https://www.ironworkers720.com/training-calendar?mid=1339
