Dear Recipient,

As the construction industry evolves to meet the ever-changing needs of clients, contractors and tradespeople so too must the access and delivery of training to our workers and signatory contractors. In response to the changing environment the training fund has developed new training options and locations to better serve our industry and provide services to our clients. In order to utilize our resources effectively and take advantage of our locations and partnerships we have made some changes regarding access to our training fund.

Effective (May 1, 2020) the training fund will no longer reimburse signatory contractors or workers for training delivered by sources outside of the local training center. Our intent is to have all signatory contractors/workers utilize the training programs delivered at our training center as outlined on our training schedule. We encourage contractors /workers to contact the training center to help coordinate their training needs at our location so that they can ensure they are in compliance with all applicable regulations.  Currently the training department offers a wide variety of safety training that complies with all provincial and industry standards, we also maintain relationships with various organizations that allow us preferred pricing and availability to other programs not listed on our training calendar.

Upcoming course dates can be viewed on our website at (www.ironworkers720.com) and workers can register for classes by contacting the training department (780-482-0908/ trainingadmin@ironworkers720.com / scott@ironworkers720.com). Additional course dates and times can be coordinated as needed upon request. If the training center is unable to provide the training within our schedule or if the request is for training not currently offered, then an agreement can be made to reimburse third party training upon approval of the fund trustees.

Please contact the training center for information on upcoming courses, dates and booking procedures
